Five Brand-New Beauty Products You Should Have On Your Radar
In the beauty world, things work similarly to how they do in fashion in that brands usually launch new collections at the start of each season. So, as bloggers and editors are running around in pandemonium at fashion week this February, us beauty babes take that as our cue to check out all the newness on the shelves. As you might already gather, some products exceed their exceptions while others fall short. Today, though, I'll be steering away from the latter, and instead focusing on the products I've totally fallen for. Ahead, details on five new products that have managed to make a permanent home in my makeup bag as of late.
Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream ($26.50): With the lack of shut-eye I've been getting lately—thanks to school-work picking up and myriad THON-related events—I've been in major need of an eye cream that packs major punch. Enter this one by Clinique, which comes with a cool-press tip to help de-puff the eye area and increase blood flow. I find that my eye area always appears instantly smoother and brighter once I apply this. Bonus points for its vibrant, happy-orange packaging.
NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint Broad Spectrum 30 ($44): It's no secret that NARS knows what they're doing when it comes to base makeup. I've loved nearly all of their foundations and tinted moisturizers, and this one is no exception. That said, I didn't except to fall for this one in the way that I did, only because it's a matte formula and I have dry skin. However, it glides seamlessly over any dry areas, doesn't cake up or appear heavy on the skin, and lasts for hours. Plus, it has SPF 30, which always earns bonus points in my book.
Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix Mist ($25): Full Disclaimer: I am a huge fan of facial mists. Since I do suffer from such dry skin, my complexion drinks us any type of hydrating face mist there is. That said, though, some are definitely better than others. This one has a unique gel-like formula that smooths and moisturizes, but also banishes any shine on the skin. It gives my makeup and immediate boost and I can see the results right away—who doesn't love the feeling of that?
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Neutralizers ($38): I'm lucky enough to not have acne-prone skin, but I do have quite a bit of redness I like to disguise with makeup. That said, I love color-correcting products like this one because it allows me to use less foundation and concealer, while still evening out my complexion. This fancy one comes with a click-pen applicator that makes it super-easy to use, and its weightless formula makes it feel like I'm literally putting nothing on my face. They also have two other hues that target dullness and dark spots.
Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Triceratops Multi-Face Palette ($48): Although winter has done a solid job at stealing away any natural glow I had leftover from summer, I've been looking A-OK (I think!) thanks to this multi-pan palette by Korean brand, Too Cool For School. It comes with bronzer, blush, and highlighter — a.k.a. everything you need to achieve sun-kissed skin, sans the sun. Plus, it's easy to tote around with me since it's all right there.

Product Rave: Josie Maran Argan Infinity Lip And Cheek Creamy Oil (Hint: It's Love!)
Oh boy ladies, I'm in love. It was love at first sight to be more accurate. Imagine Greece's "Hopelessly Devoted To You" playing romantically in the background as I unpackaged these babies. And if you are wondering why this image looks filtered, it's because I HAD to Instagram it, of course. (It's valencia if you were wondering). These, my friends, are Josie Maran's newest beauty release and it's a stunner. You might be thinking, 'a lip & cheek oil? I don't want my cheeks to look greasy!" but have no fear - I, too, thought the same thing. Granted it was for about two seconds before I added them to my Sephora basket. Anyway, I'm pleased to tell you that these are completely non-greasy and happen to be just as beautiful, creamy, and natural-looking as I imagined them to be. They are thee perfect product for spring and summer - incredibly moisturizing and totally organic, they simply melt into the skin leaving behind the most natural pop o' color ever. Yes, this is in fact a total rave.
Kindly disregard my awkward hand, but here is a swatch of the two shades I bought. I decided on Always Cherry and Timeless Coral (also eyeing up Boundless Berry) but I found these shades very spring-time-appropriate. They're infused with Maran's famous 100% Argan Oil & deliver a sheer dewy tint that also leaves your lips and cheeks feeling nourished for hours. Yup, it's love!
Will you be picking up one of Josie Maran's Argan Infinity Lip And Cheek Creamy Oil ($18)?

Spring 2014 Favorites!
Ojon Rare Blend Oil Rejuvenating Therapy - This is one of Ojon's famous hair therapy oils that I've been so into lately. You simply shake it up, pour a few drops into your palm, and run through freshly washed hair. I definitely suffer from dry hair issues but this lightweight oil has made a huge difference in the way my hair looks and feels. I always try to let my hair dry naturally and as of late, it's been looking much better due to this miracle stuff.
Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelée in Coral Oasis - This super-cute tangerine colored blush isn't quite a cream blush but definitely isn't a powder blush. I suppose it does have a 'gelée' feel to it - whatever it is, I've been loving it. It blends seamlessly into the skin and even works on my lips too (been loving the orange lips trend lately!). It has lovely lasting power and never looks like 'too much.' I've been dying to try out some of the other gorgeous shades like Pink Escape & Getaway Red. Don't these names just make you want to go on vacay ASAP?
Chanel Lip Colors (Incandescente & La Diva) - There's nothing like bright lip colors to perk me up during that time of year when all I want is summer weather, yet it still barely gets up to 40 degrees out on the day to day. These stunning shades by Chanel do just the trick. A bright coral-red and neon pinky-violet make me feel unstoppable. It's never a bad day to wear bright lipstick. Always remember that.
L'Oréal RevitaLift Miracle Blur Eye - This eye treatment is ah-mazing. Not only is it just $24.99 but it also feels rich and heavenly. It's smoothing, hydrating, and makes my eyes instantly look less fatigued. The metal tip feels so cooling and nice on sleepy eyes first thing in the morning, and I've definitely noticed a difference in any darkness under my eyes. Luurve this stuff.
Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow - I recevied a sample size of this product in my Birchbox about a year ago and once I finished it, I realized I had to get my hands on the big stuff! It basically adds life to my skin. I tend to get super pale in the winter but also deal with redness, and this dreamy base blends everything out and makes it look as though I've just gotten back from a fabulous trip to Turks & Caicos. It just adds the right amount of radiance to my skin that every girl needs. Definitely worth a try if you're missing your summer glow!
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Golden Light - Ah, an oldie but a goodie. This matte bronzer is simply gorgeous, and in my opinion, looks fabulous on everyone. It's especially lovely on fair skintones because it's not too orange or too brown. (Who wants to look muddy, am I right?) It's supah smooth, blendable, and lasts all day. It also works whether you want an all-over-bronze or just a bit of contouring. Very versatile, which is much appreciated because I switch it up all the time and love to have a product that just does it all.
Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - So, I'm pretty sure that these have been around forever but they happen to be quite new to muah. I'm usually a die-hard Bioderma girl, but I recently ran out and needed something to get the job done until my next shipment came (a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do). Anyway, I ended up having a lovely time with these makeup wipes. In the past, I've never had great experiences with wipes - always finding them to be too harsh on my sensitive skin - but these are perfect and really get everything off. And they're so inexpensive, so you really can't lose!

Beauty Products I Need To Try ASAP
So, I'm pretty obsessed with beauty and product haulin' so that means that I am constantly wanting to try out new products! Not all of these products are new, but they are ones that have been recommended or raved about by beauty bloggers I most definitely trust. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I need to get my hands on these oh so beautiful products. Dontcha think? :)
1. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - I've heard sooo many incredible things about this concealer this year that I'm honestly surprised I haven't caved and picked it up already. My current fave is the RMS Beauty Un-Coverup because it never sticks to try patches, but everyone has said this is such a hydrating concealer and longlasting! I definitely need to pick up this concealer immediately if nawt sooner.
2. The Body Shop Honey Bronzer - After hearing Estée from EssieButton and Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi rave about this bronzer, I've made the executive decision that I most definitely need it. I'm quite fair skinned and love a good matte bronzer, so something tells me this one is going to end up being a winner. It comes in four shades so if you're an olive skinned gal (lucky) then don't worry, I'm sure 04 Deep Matte will give you a rockin' summer glow even during this dreary winter months.
3. Ren Clarifying Toning Lotion - My skin seriously looooves to be exfoliated but sometimes using a scrub or exfoliating mask is just too much on my skin. That's why I really want to try this exfoliating toner! Ren is an amazing skincare brand, so I'm almost positive I would love this product. It's supposed to un-clog pores, slough away dead skin, and leave your skin more even-toned and bright. Sounds hella good, am I right?! (did I really just say hella?)
4. Bobbi Brown Sheer Lip Color in Rosy - Okay so yes, this is another product that Estée and Ingrid raved about, but really, who doesn't love a sheer and moisturizing lip color? I know I do. They're so great for everyday when you don't want something drying or high maintanace but still want a pop o' color.
5. Benefit Lollitint - I'm a huge fan of the cult-classic Benetint (so long lasting and lovely), and I just have a feeling that I'll feel the same way about the new lollitint. First of all, what a freakin' adorable name. Second of all, I love the unique orchid, almost lilac shade of this cheek stain. Get in my collection!
What beauty products have you been lusting over lately?!

Lazy Day Loves
Hello loves :)
I know the title of this post is quite cheesy, but this post is going to be about the little things that have me feeling good this Saturday! It's rainy and gray where I am today, but I don't mind because it gives me an excuse to cozy up all day and just relax.
Theres nothing I love more than a cup of tea on a rainy day. My boyfriend got me this kind, & I love it!
I got this mug when I was in Tuscany last summer. It reminds me of how beautiful it was there!
This is on my wall at home. Waking up to it makes me happy and nostalgic of when I was 16.
I made this soup today and it turned out amazing. It's from Gwyneth Paltrow's cook book! So yummy.
These are the things that have been making me feel extra happy and cozy on this dreary day :) I hope you guys are all having a fabulous weekend!
Love always,
Kaleigh

A Tarte Score!
I was watching TessChristine123's January Favorites a few weeks ago, and I learned about an amazing deal on qvc.com. If you guys are familiar with Tarte Cosmetics, then you know it can be pretty damn expensive. But on Feb. 5th, qvc.com was selling a Tarte makeup bag with 5 oh so lovely Tarte makeup products inside, all for $60. So, clearly I jumped on it. I got the products about a week ago, and decided to do a review for you guys! Hope you like. :)
This is the line up of products that came inside the makeup bag. I really love the makeup bag because it's really big, and I just think the design is adorable. It comes with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation, the Buffer Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush, the Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara, the Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush, a double ended eyebrow pencil, and this lipstick which I couldnt seem to find online. I love all of Tarte's packaging. It's fun, young, and lovely.
I got this foundation in light. There were four shades to choose from which isn't great, but it matches my skin pretty spot on. Although it's full coverage, it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. It's creamy, and moisturizing, which I love because I have very dry skin. As for the brush, I don't love it for foundation. I'm pretty obsessed with the Real Tecniques Buffing Brush, and I found that this brush didn't distribute the foundation very well. I do really like it for powder though!
This blush is such a winner. It's beautiful. This is the color Amused. It's a baby pink color with some sparkle in it, but when applied you can't see it. This blush is very pigmented, so you do have to be careful when applying it. That being said, if you just sweep a little bit onto the apples of your cheeks and blend, then it looks amazing. This has really made me want more blushes from Tarte!
Out of everything I got, this mascara is my hands down favorite! First of all, I love the gold packaging. The brush has short and long bristles which is very unique. When I apply it, I use the short bristles first to thicken my lashes, and then the long bristles to separate and lengthen them. The long bristles definitely give that fluttery look we all love. What else to say about it? It's very very black, and doesn't smudge on me even though it's not waterproof. A+ in my book!
I'm not sure why I couldn't find this lipstick online. It might be limited edition, I'm sorry! The name of this lipstick is Plummy Rose, which I think fits perfectly. It's not to brown, not too pink, and definitely has an obvious hint of pluminess to it. It's a great everyday shade, and is a perfect my lips but better lipstick. It's also very creamy and moisturizing, which I love.
That is all for today :) I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Even though the sale was only one day, all these products are really great and I would definitely go out and have a look at them!
Love always,
Kaleigh xx
P.s. Hey guys! I'm so sorry I forgot to include the eyebrow pencil it also came with in my post. I forgot to take a picture of it, but its absolutely amazing. One side comes with a spooly to brush through your brows and tame them. The other side is a pencil, which looks very natural. I love it. Again, I'm so sorry I forgot to take a picture!

My Red Lip Loves
Hello my loves :)
So normally I'm a pretty neutral lip lover and go for the my lips but better colors when it comes to lip products. I literally always have my trusty Burt's Bees tinted chapstick in Red Dahlia on me. If I lose it, I've been known to go into panic mode (crazy i know). But when I'm feelin' risky or badass and I want the chorus of "Bad Girls"to be the soundtrack in my head all day, then these are the colors I bring out to play. ;)
This lovely lipstick on the left is Maybelline's Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Continuous Cranberry. Cute name. I love it though. It's a gorgeous color and insanely pigmented. It also lasts for hours. It's a tad drying but nothing a little balm can't cure. love love love. Even though I wasn't able to see my boyfriend on Valentine's Day, I wore this anyway. :)
Why did I not paint my nails?
So this one is for all you ladies out there that love the idea of a red lip but the boldness of it freaks you out a little bit. We've all been there, don't worry. If that's you, then the Korres Lip Butter in Wild Rose is the red lip you need to rock. It's sheer, its moisturizing, and it gives the prettiest hint of color to your lips. The best part is since it's a balm, you can reapply it just about 50,000 times and no one can judge you. All in all, it's pure loveliness.
So that is all for today. I hope you guys liked this post on my favorite red lips! What are your favorites? I'd love to know :)
Love always,
Kaleigh xx
